This was our inspiration for a new Indian restaurant located on the crossroads of Old and New Delhi. To celebrate the eclecticism of India in all its exuberant irreverence, we coned the name with a pun on the word bazaar, and 'Chor Bizarre' was born… It is only at the Chor Bizarre that you can find 'a little bit of this, and a little bit of that...In the past we have been called 'a gallery', 'an attic', really clever' and 'quite mad' - all descriptions that we feel sum up the idea of Chor Bizarre. Part art, part kitsch, part imaginative, part contrived - the interiors of Chor Bizarre have been put together with India's finery, frivolity, and sheer joie-de-vivre in mind. ' Nothing matches' but we hope 'everything goes' - an ethic quite literally manifest in our plans to periodically change the restaurant, giving our guests a whole range of new objects and a whole new ambience to come back to.
